Textile manipulator. Bedazzler. Glue gun slinger. Pin cushion queen. All things glitter.
Kimberly Myers started making costumes at the age of 10, when she would cut up her father’s vintage Hawaiian shirts to make bikinis. Her father loved that. (He really didn’t)
Inspired by DIY, she made everything by hand, from Halloween costumes (favorite to date: Aunt Jemima After Her Pancakes Blew Up In Her Face), to jewelry, home goods, art, basically all things craft-tastic. Multiple mediums are definitely her jam. “If she builds it, they will be happy.” -Her
A couple decades later, some schooling, and a whole lot of trial and error, she began working as a costume designer in theatre and Halloween. It was a hoot. But as all things must eventually progress, she eventually made the transition into Film/TV/Music Videos.
She is currently residing in Los Angeles on a hillside with a sewing machine, a glue gun, and a very old cat.
